Day 1
We will depart from New York or Washington DC for our South African Airways flight to South Africa.

Day 2
On arrival in Johannesburg we will connect with our domestic flight to Cape Town. Upon our arrival, we will be met and transferred to our hotel. With its spectacular location in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and its stunning views of Table Mountain, The One&Only is a destination unto itself. Discerning travelers and Capetonians alike are extended a warm welcome to dine on the celebrated cuisines of Nobuyuki "Nobu" Matsuhisa, revel in the high energy vibe of Vista Bar and sample rare and undiscovered vintages at the stunning Wine Loft. As the first luxury hotel to open in Cape Town in nearly a decade, the resort is designed to celebrate the city's wine, art, design and spirit balancing contemporary glamour with an authentic South African style. We will stay overnight on bed and breakfast basis at The One&Only.

Day 3
Over the next two days, we will explore and discover the scenic beauty of the Cape Peninsula and winelands of the Western Cape. We will taste the best of South African wine and food in an amazing variety of superb restaurants.
We will enjoy a tour of the peninsula, which allows us the opportunity to experience the variety of landscapes and scenery Cape Town has to offer. Next, we will experience the majestic beauty of the Atlantic Seaboard and Chapman's Peak. Then we will continue to the quaint fishing village of Hout Bay and visit Cape Point and the colony of Jackass Penguins at Bouders Beach.
We will enjoy a lunch at the the Foodbarn, where the food is civilized without being pretentious, that is to say it has natural taste, smells and textures, and much character - often it looks beautiful too. What is paramount is that it is prepared with respect, savvy and love. We will stay overnight on bed and breakfast basis at The One&Only.

Day 4
We will depart on a full day tour of the Winelands. Here we will get to taste the good life. The marriage of fine wine with appropriately fine food is an indescribable experience. We will enjoy wine tasting at two specially selected wine estates and lunch in the winelands. The perfect pairing of wine and food is achieved by the combined efforts of the wine maker and chef. In the late afternoon, we will return to the Mother City of Cape Town, where we will indulge in a spacial honeymoon treatment complemented by a romantic turndown. We will stay overnight on bed and breakfast basis at The One&Only.

Day 5
We will travel along the dramatic Cape Coastline to Hermanus for arguably the best shore-based whale watching in the World and the chance to see a magnificent Southern Right Whale breaching.
Grootbos Private Nature Reserve is situated half an hour outside of Hermanus, on the Fynbos and forest clad hills, overlooking the whale watching haven of Walker Bay and Gansbaai. With its luxurious accommodations, scenic beauty, unique flowers and abundant marine life, Grootbos truly provides everything the Garden Route and Western Cape have to offer. The luxury designed lodges and exclusive villas offer breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, breaching whales and ancient forests, with activities to satisfy even the most ardent nature lover. We will stay overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at Grootbos.

Day 6
During our stay there is a wide variety of experiences for us to enjoy. The specialist guides lead 4x4 drives and walks through the fynbos and forests of the reserve, trips to the nearby coast to view the Southern Right Whales from land, walks along deserted beaches, visits to archaeological and cultural sites, boat-based whale watching trips, as well as boat tours to a nearby seal island to view penguins, seals, dolphins and great white sharks.
There is also a visit to a nearby wine estate which lies in the triangle of land between Grabouw and Villiersdorp and the Hemel-en-Aarde valley near Hermanus. On this tailormade wine tour, we will visit many of the best known vineyards in the area, combining wine tasting with cheese and olive tasting, and a sumptuous lunch spread or picnic in stunning surroundings! We will enjoy our most memorable honeymoon moments in an exceptional, lavish and stylish nature setting. We will stay overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis at Grootbos.

Day 7
After breakfast we will be transferred to Cape Town Airport for our flight to Nelspruit. Here we will be met and transferred to Ivory Lodge.
The international award winning Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is ultra luxurious, yet simple and uncluttered. The lodge is about overriding exclusivity with complete privacy, where each suite is operated as a private villa. Neither word nor photograph can capture the sense of the pure beauty which is breathed in when opening the carved wooden doors leading into this private recluse – arguably the worlds finest suite. We will stay overnight on a fully inclusive basis at Ivory Lodge.

Day 8
With each villa boasting its own private heated plunge pool and game viewing deck, the lodge is the perfect escape for honeymooners like us, where we need not see another soul if we wish. All meals can be quietly delivered to our suite for our enjoyment. For a more unique experience, we can spend the night in the African bush with the night sky above us at the Chalkley Treehouse. We will stay overnight on a fully inclusive basis at Ivory Lodge.

Day 9
After breakfast we will be transferred to Nelspruit where we will board our flight to Johannesburg and onward flight to the USA.

Day 10
We will arrive in the United States at New York JFK or Washington Dulles airports.
